Identifying Gonorrhea from its symptoms

Gonorrhea is transmitted through semen, blood and saliva. This is a bacteria infected disease. This bacterium might infect the urethra, throat, cervix or anus. In women, it is tricky to diagnose because women exhibit only few or no symptoms. In fact, 50% of the female gonorrhea patients do not experience any symptoms. Women can experience excess bleeding after the sex as well as frequent and painful urination. These symptoms are the result of the infection of cervix. Later symptoms may include fever, vomiting, a bloody or yellow vaginal discharge, nausea and bleeding between the menstrual periods. In case of men, these symptoms are quite distinct. Generally, the symptoms of the gonorrhea appear with in two and ten days after the infection. However, in some cases, it might take thirty days or more for the appearance of symptoms. If a man is suffered from gonorrhea, he can experience frequent urination, swollen testicles and pain while urinating. This problem generally appears due to the infection of penis. Male victims of gonorrhea experience a white, yellow or green discharge from penis. The penis might become tender as well as redder. However,   Gonorrhea is curable and near about 95% to 99% of the victims gets cured with use of antibiotics.
