How is woman’s sexual health links with estrogen secretion in her system?

It is often observed that a woman’s responsiveness towards sex is at its peak throughout her thirties and mid forties. However, one’s she crosses the age of 50 she starts to develop disinterest in sexual endeavors. This is essentially because most of the women reach their menopausal stage after 50. This stage is characterized by depletion of estrogen hormones. This hormone is a female sex hormone and is mainly responsible for regulating the entire reproductive system. As the level of this hormone drops, she experiences menstrual irregularities, hot flashes, night sweats, sleeplessness and most importantly loss of interest in sex. Such women experience severe setbacks in the desire for sex or response to the sexual endeavors of their partner.  Some women also experience vaginal dryness even during intercourse. This may make the intercourse painful and less enjoyable. A lot of women also find difficulties in achieving the peak point, better known as orgasm. Their lack of desire results into the condition called anorgasmia wherein a woman does not experience orgasm at all or sometimes experiences delayed orgasm. This can be extremely distressing for both the suffering woman and her partner. The lack to achieve orgasm could further decline a woman’s interest in sex.
