Can trichomoniasis be a cause of infertility?

Trichomonas vaginalis is basically a flagellated protozoan which leads to severe vaginal infections among women. This organism may affect both men and women. Among women, the onset of the infection is well signaled by the release of unusual grey, green or yellow colored discharge.
